OC Sheriff’s Office announces retirement of Officer Stanton

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces the retirement of Senior Deputy Paul David Stanton after more than 30 years in law enforcement.  Stanton served 24 years as a trooper with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and after time at OconeeMedicalCenter in security, Stanton spent the last 13 years as Deputy Sheriff assigned to court house security at the Oconee County Courthouse.  Stanton also served the United States as a member of the U.S. Navy. Stanton was recently presented a plague by Sheriff Mike Crenshaw and Chief Deputy Kevin Davis during a ceremony at the OconeeCountyLawEnforcementCenter recognizing his time spent as a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office and his time in law enforcement.
