OC Sheriff’s Office arrests Seneca Cousins for Burglary

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man on two charges in relation to an incident that occurred back on Sept. 2 near Seneca. The Sheriff’s Office was informed that a second suspect in the case was arrested in Richland County. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details. “22-year-old Brandon James Hunter of 1143 Kilpatrick Road in Seneca has been charged with first-degree burglary and malicious injury to property stemming from an incident that occurred back on Sept. 2 at a residence on Timber Ridge Lane in Seneca where the resident heard the door kicked open to the residence. The resident was unsure who was responsible. As the investigation continued, warrants charging Brandon Hunter were obtained. Agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested the second suspect in the case, 25-year-old Alexander O’Neil Hunter, who goes by the name “Metro,” in the Columbia area. Alexander Hunter, who is the first cousin of Brandon Hunter, was also charged with first-degree burglary and malicious injury to property in the same Timber Ridge Lane incident. He was also wanted on outstanding warrants charging him with first-degree burglary and petit larceny in a separate incident that occurred at an address on Ames Street on the Utica Mill Hill on July 2. According to Thom Berry, spokesperson for SLED, warrants will be obtained by that agency against Alexander Hunter as well.” Those warrants stem from Alexander Hunter’s arrest in Richland County.
