OC Sheriff’s Office building Partnerships

Before taking office, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw campaigned to build stronger partnerships.  In 2013, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office successfully teamed with area municipal and county law enforcement agencies to conduct roundups of wanted drug and warrant violators.  However, building partnerships extends beyond mere law enforcement agencies, explains Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt.  “Building partnerships to promote a safer community that means working with other law enforcement and public safety agencies.  It means working with groups and organizations but means also working with the public as well to keep us informed about what is going on so we can build those successful partnerships and help solve crimes in our area.  That is extremely important.” The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is now using social media to reach out even further in the community.  The Sheriff’s Office has a Facebook page and now you can text in your tip to CrimeStoppers at 274637 as well as call 864-638-STOP.
