OC Sheriff’s Office conducts 16th “Operation Infinity” Drug Round-Up

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office conducted the sixteenth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep round-up Wednesday. The Sheriff’s Office teamed with law enforcement partners from the Seneca and Westminster Police Departments. “The sixteenth Operation Infinity drug sweep continues to be part of our continuing efforts to dent and decay the distribution and use of illegal narcotics in Oconee County,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “This is a commitment that I made to the citizens of Oconee County when I was first elected and this continues to be commitment now. The distribution and use of narcotics affects all of us as many other crimes committed in the county ties into the drug trade. For those who are using drugs and want to get clean, there is help available at no cost to you. If you distributing drugs in the county, your next sale could be the one that sends you to jail. We will continue our efforts to make it difficult as possible to engage in this illegal trade.” In all, 32 individuals are being sought on a variety of drug charges involving methamphetamine, heroin, prescription drugs, cocaine and marijuana. Some individuals in this drug sweep are being sought on charges of unlawful neglect of a child as well as attempts to purchase pseudoephedrine above the legal limits allowed. So far, nine individuals have been arrested or were already are in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Deputies arrested 51-year-old Janet Lorraine Tyner of Westminster for unlawful neglect of a child; 55-year-old Deborah Ann Addis of Seneca for unlawful neglect of a child; 55-year-old Ricky Lee Addis, Sr. of Seneca for unlawful neglect of a child; 40-year-old Cynthia Dawn Blackwell of Salem for distribution of marijuana; 60-year-old Leonard P. Valido, Jr. of West Union for distribution of methamphetamine; 44-year-old Daniel Gabriel Harbin of Seneca for distribution of methamphetamine, second offense; 51-year-old Kevin Wayne Maler of Walhalla for distribution of methamphetamine, second offense; 26-year-old Randy Lee Cantrell of Tamassee for distribution of methamphetamine; and 26-year-old Kevin Patrick Moore of Seneca for distribution of methamphetamine. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to that fact, the names of the other individuals being sought will not be released at this time.
