OC Sheriff’s Office seeks help in recent Seneca Larceny

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office seeks help solving a larceny that occurred in the parking lot of the Seneca BI-LO on Feb. 11. A deputy responded to the scene to speak with the complainant, who had left her purse in a buggy and upon returning could not locate it. Upon reviewing the surveillance video provided by the store, the deputy observed a white male driving a late 2000’s model gold Saturn Ion with what appeared to be South Carolina plates. The suspect arrived at the store with a white female subject who the Sheriff’s Office would like to question about the incident even though she was not present during the incident as she was inside the store. The deputy observed the gold Saturn park behind the victim’s vehicle and once the victim’s vehicle left, the suspect took the purse, got back into the gold Saturn and left towards Staples. The total amount of items taken from the purse is around $550. If you have any information on the larceny of a purse from the Seneca BI-LO on Feb. 11 or the vehicle or the person of interest in question, contact Crime Stoppers at 864-638-STOP. All information relayed to Crime Stoppers is anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
