OC Sheriff’s Office working Active Death Investigation

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is currently working an active death investigation.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details.  “According to investigators, dispatchers received a 911 call just after 7am this morning regarding a shooting at 108 Mt. Pleasant Road near Blackjack Road in the Westminster area. One white male was shot, according to investigators.  No arrests have been made and the incident does remain under investigation at this time.” Roads may be closed in the area due to the ongoing investigation, so motorists are advised to find an alternate route.
