Oconee County Council Meeting Tuesday

The Oconee County Council will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers at the Administrative Offices in Walhalla. The agenda includes a millage presentation by the county auditor, a public comment session, and several ordinances and resolutions for reading and approval.

Some of the action items for discussion are the renewal of services from the Anderson/Oconee Regional Forensics Laboratory, the purchase of a Chevrolet Silverado for the Sheriff’s Office, and the award of a contract for a Classification, Compensation and Time Use Study.

The council will also enter into an executive session to discuss a contractual matter related to the City of Walhalla and may take a vote or action afterwards. The meeting will adjourn after the discussion and action on the proposed intergovernmental agreement for fire protection and other emergency response services between Oconee County and the City of Walhalla.
