Oconee County Council Meets Tonight

The Oconee County Council will hold a meeting at 6:00 PM this evening in the Council Chambers of the Oconee County Administrative Offices in Walhalla. The Council will consider a resolution to establish an Oconee Opioid Response Task Force. Furthermore, the council’s agenda includes a discussion and approval of a request for proposals to renovate the old county courthouse. During a planned executive session, the council will discuss an economic development matter related to the “Utica Mill Project” and a contract matter related to public wastewater infrastructure. There will also be public hearings for ordinances, including one authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds for various capital projects. The council members will also discuss and approve requests for proposals and other action items. Tonight’s meeting is open to the public.
