Oconee County Residents Stepped Up for Betty White and Local Pets

Betty White is smiling in heaven right now!! On Tuesday, the Oconee Humane Society hosted a birthday party in honor of the late actress, comedian and animal lover Betty White and the pets at the shelter.

Angel Newman, the Humane Society’s Director, said that they sold 39 spay and neuter vouchers and a dozen pup cakes were nearly swallowed whole by the shelter pets for Betty’s Birthday Party.

Newman also said that, while they were hoping to raise around $1700, the community really stepped up and raised close to $8,000 in Oconee County for the #BettyWhiteChallenge…
