Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Additional Arrest in First Drug Round-Up of 2023

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing an additional arrest in the first drug round-up of 2023.

The Sheriff’s Office began the operation with a meeting and briefing at 8:30am on
Tuesday, February 7th, at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.

The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 22 subjects. The arrest warrants were
obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys were Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Marijuana, Methamphetamine, and Prescription Medication.

As of 10am Thursday, 18 subjects had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and
will or have been served their warrants. Here is the name of the additional subject arrested:

Scott Lamar Price
52 years old
Walhalla, SC
Trafficking in Methamphetamine – 2 counts

Price was arrested Wednesday afternoon by deputies from the Warrants Bureau during a
Warrants Service at an address on Westminster Highway near Walhalla. Price was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 3:49pm. At this time, Price remains in jail on a combined $75,000 surety bond.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the

  34 years old

  Trafficking in Methamphetamine – 1 count
