Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Additional Arrests in First Drug Round-Up of 2024

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has announced additional arrests in its first drug round-up of 2024. The operation resulted in 41 arrest warrants for 27 individuals based on controlled purchases of narcotics, including Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Prescription Medication. As of now, 23 individuals have been arrested or served their arrest warrants. Among them are Carla Denise Bennefield, who was charged with one count of Methamphetamine distribution, and Randall Dain Wooten, who was charged with two counts of Methamphetamine distribution. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the remaining suspects, which include Benjamin Daniel Lusk, Marshall Phillip Sims, Antonio Aminika Hunter, and James Christopher Brown. Tips can be submitted confidentially to Crimestoppers online. If a tip leads to an arrest, the tipster could be eligible for a cash reward.
