Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Arrests Of Anderson Man This Week On Multiple Charges, Including Three Counts Of Attempted Murder

(Seneca, SC)—The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced earlier this week the arrest of man on multiple charges, including three counts of Attempted Murder. 

In arrest warrants obtained by the Sheriff’s Office in relation to the incident that occurred on December 1st of this year, 29 year old Dolphus Daniel Haney, who has a listed address in Anderson according to the Oconee County Detention Center, was also charged in that incident with Domestic Violence High and Aggravated, Malicious Injury to Real Property and Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime. 

The December 1st incident occurred at an address on Rogers Road in Seneca in which Haney is accused of assaulting a member of his household while also shooting at her with a handgun. Haney is also accused of discharging a firearm into the residence while also possessing and displaying a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Haney also rammed his vehicle into a porch at the residence. 

Haney also had two outstanding General Sessions Bench Warrants for Driving Under Suspension and a Hit and Run Traffic accident. 

Haney also had two outstanding arrest warrants from the Sheriff’s Office on charges of Reckless Driving and Failure to Stop for a Blue Light in relation to a separate incident that occurred in August of this year at Sitton Mill Road and Bowen Farm Road. 

Haney was also charged on the date of his arrest with Identity Fraud to avoid detection by law enforcement after providing an investigator with a false name and presenting false documentation that belonged to another person, claiming that they were his.
