Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Oconee County Man on Fugitive from Justice Warrant

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Oconee County man over the weekend on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant.

21 year old Carlos M Caron, who has listed addresses in Westminster and Seneca, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:33pm Saturday. A hold has been placed on Caron by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky, which is near the Indiana/Kentucky state line.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division was contacted by the Criminal Investigations Division this weekend concerning a subject with outstanding warrants in Kentucky for felony charges. Based upon the information provided, and after receiving confirmation that the agency in Kentucky would extradite, the deputy obtained a Fugitive from Justice arrest warrant against the subject, identified as Caron.

After attempts to locate Caron were unsuccessful, Caron came to the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla and was taken into custody on the Fugitive from Justice Warrant.

According to the arrest warrant, Caron is accused in the state of Kentucky of committing Rape – 1st Degree and Sodomy – 1st Degree.

At this time, Caron remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center.
