Brandon Paul Anderson

30-year-old Brandon Paul Anderson was taken into custody, without incident, this afternoon at an address on Broadway Street, which is in the Newry Community. Anderson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 3:47pm.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Keowee Trail near Seneca earlier this morning in regard to a reported disturbance.  When Deputies arrived on scene, they began an investigation into reports that a male, identified as Anderson, had entered a residence on the property, without consent, and attempted to sexually assault an adult female inside of the residence.

Anderson was then chased out of the residence by a family member of the adult female.  Brandon was seen last seen near the incident location; however, Deputies were not able to locate him at that time.  An Investigator from the Criminal Investigations Bureau was notified and responded to the scene to take over the investigation.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.  Due to the nature of the crime, the Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could identify any victims or witnesses in this investigation.
