Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two Oconee County Men On Property Crime Charges In Two Separate Investigations

(Seneca, SC)—————-The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office made two recent arrests of a Westminster man and a Salem man in separate property crime investigations. 

50 year old Scottie Lane Gray is charged by the Sheriff’s Office with Grand Larceny and Second Degree Burglary. 

According to arrest warrants obtained by the Sheriff’s Office, Gray is accused of breaking into a building in Westminster in May of last year and stealing items. 

27 year old Brandon Ray Hopkins has been charged by the Sheriff’s Office with one count each of Grand Larceny and Malicious Injury of Personal Property. The Sheriff’s Office accuses Hopkins of stealing a 2017 Bennington 21SX Pontoon Boat, valued at $30,000, from an address in Seneca on March 21st of this year, also causing damage to the ignition system. 

Hopkins was also charged by the Sheriff’s Office with one count of Petit Larceny in a separate incident in which he is accused of stealing a horse on April 13th of this year from an address in Westminster. The horse is valued at $700.00.
