Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Walhalla Woman on Obstruction of Justice Charge

An ongoing missing person investigation by the Unsolved Cases Unit of Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has led to two charges being filed against a Walhalla teenager.

Shianna Jade Turner

19 year old Shianna Jade Turner was arrested around lunchtime last Friday on two outstanding arrest warrants, charging her with one count each of Obstruction of Justice and Misprision of a Felony. Turner remains in custody, at this time, at the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $40,000 surety bond. Turner will also be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should she be released.

“Based upon evidence gathered during our investigation into the missing person case involving Faith Roach, Investigators learned that Turner withheld evidence and did not disclose or produce that evidence to Investigators at the time she was asked about it,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “Based upon probable cause, Investigators obtained arrest warrants against Turner.”

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.

Markus Vandell Walters

Markus Walters has been in jail in Oconee County since his arrest in November of last year on charges of grand larceny, drug distribution and manufacturing, and possession of meth. He is also charged with perjury and giving false information in connection to this same investigation. Walters is also being held for Clemson Police and Anderson County Probation.
