Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help Regarding Armed Robbery of Utica Mill Hill Convenience Store

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in regards to an armed robbery that occurred last Saturday evening at a Utica Mill Hill convenience store.

The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking the public’s help in identifying three male subjects in relation to the armed robbery.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division was dispatched to J and Z Food Mart on Shiloh Road near Seneca around 10:39pm Saturday in response to a silent alarm. While en route, the deputy was advised by dispatch that an armed robbery had occurred at the same location. The deputy arrived on scene and began an investigation, which was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.

Based upon evidence that has been gathered so far during the investigation, the store was robbed by three black males, each wearing gloves and masks. Each subject was wearing a black or dark colored jacket and black shoes. One of the subjects wore black pants while the other two wore gray pants. One of the males involved presented a firearm. The males stole money and a quantity of cigars and then left the store.
