Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help Regarding Fraud Investigation

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help regarding a fraud investigation that stretches to other parts of the Carolinas. A deputy spoke with the victim on the afternoon of March 11th, and was told that someone had obtained information from the victim, then made multiple fraudulent card transactions at Home Depots in Columbia and Charlotte. Investigators said the card transactions were more than $14,000. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers.
