Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help Regarding Stolen Utility Trailer and Tools Investigation

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in a larceny investigation in which $13,000 worth of tools was taken from a utility trailer that was stolen and later recovered.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division were dispatched to the area of Cleveland Pike Road and Berry Farm Road during the morning hours of Monday, February 1st of this year in regards to an initial report of a stolen trailer.  The victim told the deputy that a white enclosed 16’ utility trailer, with the name McAllister’s Utilities on the side and with Indiana tags, had been stolen from that location.  

The stolen trailer was actually recovered on Bridge Road near Jenkins Bridge Road on the morning of Saturday, January 30th and was towed away from the scene, eventually being turned over to the rightful owner.  The investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
