Oconee County’s Elections Director Eyes Retirement

For the last two decades, Joy Scharich has been in charge of Oconee County’s elections, everything from local town halls to the Oval Office. And now she has decided to leave the position, having settled on a retirement date at the end of June 2021 and looking forward to a break.
