Oconee Courthouse Closed Due to COVID-19

After more than half of the staff at the Oconee County Courthouse reported being exposed to COVID-19 and some testing positive for the virus, County Administrator Amanda Brock said that the courthouse will be closed to the public for the rest of this week. Brock said she was contacted on Sunday by court clerk Lisa Burton about the exposures, and said that the building was immediately decontaminated.

The courthouse’s drive thru is open for all filings and clerk of court operations from 8:30am until 5:00 pm. A target reopening date has been set for Monday, March 29 with the latest date for reopening pinned to April 1st. You can call the courthouse with any questions at 864-638-4280.
