Oconee Forever hosts Brunch for Landowners

Thirty Oconee County landowners enjoyed a complimentary brunch of homemade breakfast casseroles and quiche on Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Walhalla. The landowners also learned about conservation easements from host Oconee Forever as its members and guests shared their expertise and stories. The speakers at the brunch were Shea Airey, chair of Oconee County’s Conservation Bank, Rex Ramsey, a local landowner, and Erin Knight, director of the Land Trust of Upstate Forever. Attendees learned more about the process of leveraging conservation easements to preserve family lands and help the environment.
