Oconee Humane Society Ho, Ho, Home for the Holidays

As Christmas nears the Oconee County Animal Shelter remains extremely full. To give cats and dogs additional opportunities to be adopted into a loving home before the holiday, the Oconee Humane Society will be open extra hours during a “Ho, Ho, Home for the Holidays” event. Potential adopters can visit pets from 10am to 7pm on Thursday and Friday and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. All available pets are also listed at www.oconeehumane.org. Currently there are puppies and kittens (under a year old), adults and senior dogs and cats available. While Oconee Humane Society officials want to see all of the pets in homes, they also want people to consider that a pet is much more than a Christmas gift, it is a lifetime commitment. They encourage anyone with room in their heart for a homeless pet to stop by the shelter at 1925 Sandifer Boulevard in Seneca.
