Oconee Humane Society selected for stop on National Tour

The Oconee Humane Society is hosting a live fundraiser on Wednesday, December 13th from 10:00am until 1:00pm in collaboration with Jordan’s Way, a foundation dedicated to helping shelter animals. The event, which will be held at the shelter and streamed live on Facebook, will feature games and challenges hosted by Jordan’s Way founder, Kris Rotonda.

Kris, the founder of Jordan’s Way, has staff and volunteers do challenges with a time limit while pushing folks to donate via a Facebook link on our page. Oftentimes, he will be pushing folks to give and if a goal is reached, the dogs get special treats and staff/volunteers get the ice bucket challenge, get to eat a nasty jellybean, or get hosed down in a kennel etc. We are currently planning our Pate’ Party for the kitties. Volunteers will coat their hands with Pate cat food and cats and kittens get to lick away.  Starbucks baristas will be serving pupaccino’s  and someone may coat their face with whipped cream for a doggie tasting session.
It’s all in good fun and all for a great cause—the pets in need in Oconee County.

Supporters can join in person, watch online, match donations, share the event, or donate directly via Facebook.
