Oconee Sheriff’s Office Arrests Taylors, SC Man on Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor Charges

A 22-year-old Taylors, SC man remains in jail today, pending a bond hearing, after his arrest earlier this morning on Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor charges.

22-year-old Tahrik Shalil Ellerbe, of Rolling River Way, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 1:48am today on a Temporary Custody Order. Earlier today, an Investigator with the Violent Crimes Unit of the Criminal Investigations Bureau charged Ellerbe with three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – 2nd Degree and one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Deputies with the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Brown Farm Road in Seneca early this morning in regard to a disturbance involving a juvenile. When the Deputies arrived on scene, the Deputies spoke with a family member of a teenager who discovered a man inside the teenager’s bedroom. The man, later identified as Ellerbe, was asked to leave the residence. The man refused and the Sheriff’s Office was called.

When Deputies arrived and were allowed inside the teenager’s bedroom, they discovered the teenager and Ellerbe in bed asleep. Deputies detected the odor of Marijuana in the room and the Deputies seized a bag of Marijuana that was located inside of the room.

According to information obtained during the investigation, the teenager and Ellerbe met on social media. Ellerbe came to the residence on more than one occasion. Ellerbe had sex with the teenager and the two smoked Marijuana together.

Ellerbe was placed under arrest and transported to jail. Ellerbe was also issued citations for Trespassing and Simple Possession of Marijuana.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation. In order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, and that of the teenager involved, the Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could in any way, either directly or indirectly, identify the teenager involved.
