OCPL Branches Hosting TBC Blood Drives This Month

Director Blair Hinson said all branches of the Oconee County Public Library will be hosting the mobile unit of the Blood Connection for blood donations this month, thanks to the coordination efforts of the library’s new Community Resource Associate Kerry Leeper Brock…

Donors will receive a $20 and $50 gift card, as well as $5 in “Book Bucks” to be used at the Friends of the Library Used Book Sales.

The mobile unit will be at the lot across from the Fire Department at 115 E. Main Street in Salem today from 1-6 p.m. (sponsored along with the Town of Salem); at the Walhalla Main Library on Thursday, January 19 from 12-5 p.m.; at the Westminster Branch on Tuesday, January 24, from 12-5 p.m.; and at the Seneca Branch on Wednesday, January 25, from 12-5 p.m.

The post-holiday period is a critical time for blood donations. You can make appointments in advance by going to the library website, https://www.oconeelibrary.org, and using the links to sign up online.
