OCPL holds Food Drive during December

The Oconee County Public Library is holding a Food for Fines drive in celebration of the holidays.  The program offers the public a chance to do good in their community while also eliminating library overdue fees.  From December 1st through the 31st, $1 of outstanding overdue fines will be forgiven for each nonperishable, unexpired food item donated, up to a limit of $10 per library card. Fees for lost or damaged materials will not be waived under the program.  Donations will be distributed to Golden Corner Food Pantry in Seneca and Dot’s Kitchen in Westminster. Those without fines are also welcome to donate food. The public can donate at any of the Oconee County Public Library branches.  For more information, check out the Library’s virtual branch at ww1.youseemore.com/oconee.
