OCPL Introduces New Youth Services Librarian

Kasey Swords, OCPL Youth Services Librarian

The Oconee County Public Library is pleased to introduce our new Youth Services Librarian, Kasey Swords. Kasey received her master’s in library and information science in 2013 from the University of South Carolina. She has worked in libraries for the past eleven years and has experience in almost every aspect of library work. For the past seven years, Kasey has been fortunate to work with children and teens and is passionate about creating a positive environment for young people at the library.

“I have lived in the Upstate for thirteen years, and I am excited for the chance to know and serve Oconee County and its inhabitants more closely as their Youth Services Librarian. I look forward to meeting more of the community in the coming weeks,” said Mrs. Swords.

Kasey currently lives in Liberty, South Carolina with her husband, Nathan, and her two children, Scout and Hudson. For more information about youth programs and all library events, check out oconeelibrary.org.
