OCPL Summer Reading Programs kickoff Monday

The Oconee County Public Library kicks off their 2015 summer reading program on Monday at 3pm. This summer’s theme, Every Hero Has a Story, explores all kinds of topics from superheroes to hometown heroes and more. Oconee County Public Library Branch Services Librarian Blair Hinson gives details. “We have programs for early literacy, like pre-school all the way up through adult. We are going to have a bunch of different programs that in some cases are focused on STEAM, science, technology, English, arts and math and then some other fun things like our aquarium program and adult Bingo. So we have plenty of great programs, just check out our calendar on our website.” Sign-up the whole family and participate together in the Oconee County Public Library’s summer reading program, which kicks off at 3pm on Monday at all four branches. Participants of all ages will have a chance to win prizes. For more information on the summer reading programs, visit www.oconeelibrary.org.
