OCSO Collecting for Safe Harbour

In honor of “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” this October, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is organizing a donation drive for Safe Harbor. The drive is being coordinated by the Sheriff’s Office’s Victim’s Advocates, Deputy Katrina Carter and Deputy Sonia Royal. A display table has been set up in the main lobby of the Sheriff’s Office at 300 S. Church Street, Walhalla, where donations can be dropped off.

The items most needed by Safe Harbor are: Large Tote Bags/Purses (for New Arrival Kits); Journals and Pens (Any Notebook is fine); Hair Styling Products; Full-Size Hygiene Items – Greatest Needs are Mouthwash, Lotion, Razors, Shaving Cream, and Soap. Two boxes have been placed under the table in the main lobby for donations. Brochures and other information about Safe Harbor and South Carolina Legal Services are also available on the display table.

Donations will be accepted at the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office during normal business hours, weekdays from 8:30am until 5pm, through October 30th.
