OCSO Gets New Therapy Dog

In the heart of Oconee County, a 6-month-old goldendoodle named Sully is making waves as the newest therapy dog for the Sheriff’s Office. Sully, a gift from Jessica Hinson through the Oconee County Sheriff’s Foundation, is a living tribute to Chrissy Adams, a former solicitor who passed away in 2016. Sully’s role is far from ordinary. He provides comfort and emotional support to victims of crimes, children, and even the employees of the sheriff’s office. His presence helps them cope with stress, trauma, and a whirlwind of emotions that often accompany their experiences. Sully’s unconditional love brings joy and comfort to everyone he meets, making him a beloved member of the community. But Sully’s journey doesn’t stop here. He is set to undergo obedience training and acquire additional skills to become a certified therapy dog. The future holds many opportunities for Sully, including participation in various events and activities across the county. As Sully continues to grow and learn, he will undoubtedly touch many more lives with his warmth and compassion.
