OEA announces New Local Campaign, Give Oconee
In an effort to continue to encourage Oconee County citizens to be conscious of their local support, the Oconee Economic Alliance (OEA) is excited to introduce a new think local campaign. #ThinkOconee was the first think local campaign, which championed the mission of challenging people to buy local. The OEA is now challenging people to not only #ThinkOconee when they shop, eat, and play, but also when they give. With that, the OEA is rolling out the #GiveOconee initiative. Each month, the OEA will feature an Oconee County based nonprofit at their monthly business forums. A representative from the nonprofit of the month will be at the meeting to explain who they are, what they do, and how we all can help meet their immediate needs and #GiveOconee. At each monthly business forum there will be a designated location for donations but monetary donations will also be accepted. The OEA looks forward to marketing this new campaign in conjunction with Destination Oconee and Think Oconee as it continues to make our community a better place to live, eat, play, work, and give.
