OES Training with SC-HART This Week

Oconee County Emergency Services has announced that their first responders are scheduled to undergo training in collaboration with the South Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (SC-HART) this week. Throughout this designated period, teams will engage in simulated emergency scenarios across various locations spanning Greenville, Pickens, and Oconee counties. The purpose of these training exercises is to enhance the preparedness of these teams for real-life emergency situations. These practice scenarios encompass the utilization of low-altitude flights conducted by National Guard Black Hawk and Lakota helicopters. Local emergency services personnel will actively participate as survivors in these scenarios, some of whom will be harnessed and attached to safety lines. Participating in this training initiative are Oconee County Emergency Services, the Oconee County Dive and Special Rescue Team, Oconee County Fire Departments, and Oconee County Rescue Squads.
