OHS holding Pet Adoption Event this weekend

The Oconee Humane Society (OHS) is partnering with the PetSmart in Seneca to hold an adoption event this weekend, explains Angel Newman. “We do have a wonderful relationship with PetSmart and the PetSmart Charities do a lot of support for animal welfare across the country, so we are excited to have PetSmart so close and the people are always so accommodating. If you haven’t ever been, it is just fun and some times people aren’t able to adopt a pet but they just want to come and see them and hang out for a few minutes. It is a good time for everybody to come out and having a two-day event is really special because it gives the folks who have to work on Saturday, if your hours are staggered, a chance to come in and you can come in on Sunday when the shelter is normally closed. So, we will try to have as many animals out there, different ones both days.” The Oconee Humane Society’s adoption event takes place on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 from 11am to 4pm at the PetSmart in Seneca.
