OHS’s Annual Aircraft for Animals Fly-In Coming in May

The Oconee Humane Society is getting ready for its annual Aircraft for Animals Fly-In on Saturday, May 13th from 10am until 2pm at the Oconee Regional Airport. The event combines their love of pets, airplanes, and automobiles. Visitors will get to see a variety of vintage aircraft and classic show cars, and can even vote for their favorite car in the People’s Choice award contest.

The Sheriff’s Office will feature a K-9 demonstration at 11:30am, and a dedicated Kids’ Zone will offer plenty of fun activities for the little ones, including face painting and games. Food trucks, craft vendors, and handmade items such as candles and dog bandanas will also be available.

Additionally, a golf ball drop from a helicopter will take place, with each ball costing $20. The three balls closest to the target will win big prizes, up to $1000. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Oconee Humane Society. For more information, visit oconeehumane.org.
