Oliver honored by Seneca City Council for Years of Service

Jan Oliver received a round of applause during last night’s Seneca City Council meeting as a tribute to his 32 years of service to the city. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander presented him with a plaque and shared these remarks. “We want to thank you for your many years of service to Seneca. Jan has served the community for many years in lots of different areas; out in the community and we really appreciate that. But we just want to thank you and we wish you many years of great retirement.” Oliver has served as Seneca Fire Chief for the last seven years. He retired on July 27. Earlier this month, the city named Charles Caudill, Jr., of Salem as the new fire chief for the Seneca Fire Department. He has over 35 years experience.
