OMC plans Ribbon Cutting for Dental Clinic

History is to be made on June 6 as Oconee Medical Center cuts the ribbon on the first hospital-based free dental clinic in the state of South Carolina. It takes place at 10am on the fourth floor of Oconee Medical Center’s Outpatient Building. Dental emergencies continue to be one of the top reasons the uninsured visit the Emergency Department. With little that can be done for them in that setting, OMC took to task the vision of creating a free dental clinic to help address these needs. Thanks to a grant from the BlueCross/BlueShield Foundation of SC, OMC was able to build a dental clinic for low-income, uninsured adults in OconeeCounty and the Greater Clemson area.
