OMH Foundation Golf Ball Drop Winners announced

Watching golf balls dropped from a helicopter is exciting, especially if you own one of three balls closest to the bull’s eye, worth a cash prize. Cortni Nations, manager of the Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation gives this year’s winners in the annual golf ball drop fundraiser held Wednesday at the hospital. “We are excited to announce that third place was Vince and Carol Piacenti, second place was Keith Paul and first place was Ann Kramer. We are really excited that our community joined in on this effort to raise funds that will stay here and help three incredibly important healthcare services to our community; Safe Kids, the Mountain Lakes Access Health Community Dental Clinic and Lifeline Services for the indigent.” The first place winner receives 25% of the proceeds, second won 10% and third closest received 5%. Nations says this year’s fundraiser was a great success. “We sold 205 golf balls and they were $50 a piece, so great outcome and we are very pleased with that. Folks believe in our hospital system, they believe in our foundation and we are just so thankful for their generosity.” Money raised from the annual golf ball drop and the golf tournament on Thursday will be split evenly between the three community healthcare services.
