One more OC Capital Sales Tax Info Session remains

On Nov. 4, Oconee County voters will have the opportunity to weigh in on several important referendums. Before you go to the polls, take the opportunity to hear from the local project leaders and Oconee County Administrator Scott Moulder on what the Capital Sales Tax Projects are all about, explains Oconee County Chamber executive director Jillian Lusk. “We need to provide unbiased information for voters, they need to know what they are voting on in November and then they can make the decision whether they feel it’s the right projects to move forward with or not. I really want them to take a few moments and think about what the impacts of these projects would have in our county.” The Oconee County, the Walhalla and the Westminster Chambers of Commerce host the information session on Oct. 27 Lusk tells how it will function. “I moderate the discussions and we have a series of questions. We do four or five questions for Oconee County Administrator Scott Moulder. Then we do an overview and two additional questions on each project. At the end of the last sessions, we ask for general questions, if anybody did not feel like something was answered that they still have concerns about, I would like them to get in touch with the Oconee County Chamber. We are trying to make it open and clear about any concerns people have before they go to the polls in November.” The Oct. 27 information session on the proposed Capital Sales Tax Referendum for Oconee County starts at 5pm in the Gignilliat Community Center, located at 621 North Townville Street in Seneca.
