Over A Dozen Injured in Anderson County Bus Accident

A bus carrying 14 passengers crashed on Sunday evening in Anderson County, leaving them all with serious injuries. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Old Williamston Road, near Rogers Road. The sheriff’s office, the highway patrol, and several fire departments responded to the scene. They used medical helicopters to airlift some of the victims to nearby hospitals. The others were transported by ambulances. Reports indicate the bus was traveling from a church event in Greenville back to Anderson when it veered off the road and hit a tree. The sheriff’s office said the injuries ranged from broken bones to internal bleeding. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
