Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Dump Truck
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a 58-year-old Liberty man died Wednesday morning in a highway resurfacing construction zone on South Highway 11 near Fire Station Road, near Westminster.

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said the deceased, identified as Joe Milton Bridges, Jr., was employed by King Asphalt and was struck by a truck, that is owned by the same company, which was backing up at the time of the incident.
An autopsy will be ordered to assist with the death investigation, Coroner Addis said.
