Pickens Co Drowning Victim identified

The 37-year-old woman who drowned over the weekend in Pickens County has been identified.  Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley lists the victim as Heather Dobbins of York.  She was with three other people when she drowned Saturday. The incident happened on the Saluda River near Old Easley Highway. Investigators said Dobbins was taken to a Greenville hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Coroner Kelley said all signs point to a freshwater drowning, but the toxicology results will take up to eight weeks.
