Pokemon Go luring Kids to Downtown Seneca

Thanks to a popular new game, more kids are visiting downtown Seneca. People of all ages are actually now trying to catch Pokemon. Seneca Mayor Pro-tem Ronnie O’Kelley says even he has be lured into the game. “I thought I knew this town but now my son and daughter are making me ride around town hunting Pokemon. I saw how people were being negative about it on TV and I’m like this is not what I see because my kids are like you have to turn on Ram Cat, there is one at the top of the hill. They have all these Pokemon locations, so it is actually kind of fun. The TV was trying to make it a negative and I guess if you are a young kid and go into an area that you shouldn’t, there is possible danger there but most of them are churches, schools and Pokemon gyms. So, I think its going to get kids out and walk, hunt and do things, and be adventurous. Its kind of an exciting thing, you need to get online on your phone and track down a few so you know what it’s all about.” Pokemon has increased foot traffic throughout the city. Mayor Pro-tem O’Kelley encourages parents to play along with their kids to ensure their safety and enjoy in the fun.
