Public’s help sought in Nov. Convenience Store Burglary

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help solving a Nov. 6 burglary and larceny that occurred at a Highway 123 convenience store. A deputy responded to the Bountyland Quik Stop on Clemson Boulevard between Clemson and Seneca, around 5am due to reports of the store alarm system not operating properly and smoke inside the building. An employee who arrived to open the store for business made the report. The deputy cleared the building and observed merchandise in the floor as well as the safe and ATM in the store opened with all the contents moved. The suspect gained entry into the store by cutting a hole in one of the doors. The suspect also disabled the alarm system and the video camera system inside the store. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the safe and ATM.
