Pumpkins have arrived at Northside Elementary

Pumpkins have arrived at Northside Elementary School in Seneca and the community is invited to select their favorite to decorate with this fall.  Northside Elementary’s annual Pumpkin Patch is now open for business, explains Principal Jeff Smith.  “This has been an annual event at Northside.  We have a tractor-trailer truck that arrives from New Mexico and it is a school effort to unload the pumpkins and set them out on our front lawn.  We have the Pumpkin Patch open each day with an opportunity for families to come through.  There are all sizes from small pumpkins that maybe $.50 to huge carving pumpkins that could run close to $40, so there is something for everybody.  It makes a little money for the school and we put that back into some of the activities, technology or field trip opportunities that we always need a little extra assistance on.” The Northside PTC Pumpkin Patch is open from noon to dark Monday through Friday and 10am to dark on Saturday and Sunday.
