Relief for Drivers at the Pump

Some welcome relief for drivers, gasoline prices have fallen.  The Lundberg Survey reports the price of a gasoline is down after weeks of rising, explains survey publisher Trilby Lundberg. “The price of gasoline has finally dropped three and half cents in the past two weeks to $3.69; this is after it rose for three months straight.” Lundberg tells why gas prices have now gone down. “Not only is there plenty of gasoline to meet demand but most of those higher summer blend costs have been passed through to the pump.” Worldwide volatility in the oil markets over concerns of potential supply problems means, while the price of gas could go down further, a big decline shouldn’t be expected, concludes Lundberg. “The chances are good that gasoline prices can edge down further from here but it may not be a dramatic drop off and that is because there are so many hot spots, so called, in the world.” The decline in pump prices comes as millions of Americans are anticipated to travel 50 miles or more from home this Memorial Day holiday weekend.
