Reward being offered in Missing Pendleton Baby Case

Six ground searches over a four-day span have yet to produce results locating a missing one-year-old girl from Pendleton. On Tuesday, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office announced a $1,000 reward for any information leading to Leaona Wright’s safe return. She went missing sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning from her home in the Edgewood Square Apartments on Cherry Street. According to the incident report, Leaona’s mother and her boyfriend woke up to find the front door of the apartment open and the child missing. Officials from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County Fire, Oconee County Emergency Services and Technical Rescue, Zion Fire Department, Belton Fire Department, Pendleton Fire Department and EMS, CERT and Mounted Search and Rescue, Sandy Springs Fire Department, the American Red Cross and MedShore EMS are assisting in the search.
