Reward offered in Thefts at BASF Plant

CrimeStoppers of Oconee County and BASF are offering reward money for information regarding losses of precious metals from the plant. CrimeStoppers is offering up to $2,000 and BASF is offering up to an additional $10,000 for information leading to recovery of precious metals and materials from the plant as well as potential arrests in any cases. In October, the loss of metal at the facility led to an investigation in which $12,000 of Palladium was recovered and a Walhalla man was arrested on breach of trust charges.
