“Road Rage” Incident Proves Fatal

Authorities in Anderson County are searching for the driver of an SUV pulling a trailer that they said hit a motorcycle and caused it to hit a telephone pole, which ultimately led to the motorcyclist’s death at an area hospital shortly thereafter.

Investigators said that it appeared the SUV got too close to the motorcycle, and an argument between the two drivers ensued. Officials are calling the Sunday evening incident that happened on Shockley Ferry Road a case of “road rage”, and are still working to notify the victim’s family of their death.

Anyone with information is asked to call the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
