Rozman excited by Win even if had to Wait

The win was worth it despite the wait, exclaimed newly elected Seneca City Councilwoman Denise Rozman.  Five provisional ballots were added Thursday to the totals from Tuesday’s General Election to fill four seats on Seneca City Council.  After the initial count Rozman won the fourth spot; however she would have to wait to celebrate until the Oconee Elections Commission certified the election Thursday.  “Well, I am very excited.  It was very nerve racking on Tuesday when you think you have won and everybody is calling saying “Congratulations!” and I am like “Not yet.”  So, it is sort of like you are on a teeter totter, but yesterday the tale was told and I actually won, so I’m excited.” Rozman gives her plans for office.  “Well, I really want to bring more openness and transparency to the current council and just after talking to some of the current councilmen, I think everybody is ready for that.  The people are ready, the council is ready, and so I want to be more open.  I really want to see the downtown revitalized, we have so many buildings that are sitting empty and some many that are in need of repair, so I would like to see some things done with that.  I would really like to see us get an indoor swimming facility, with not just an indoor swimming pool but rooms with weights and just have some more exercise opportunities on a scale that more people can afford.” Rozman along with Joel Ward, Stuart Pohl and Scott Durham will be sworn into office on March 18 at 6pm in the Seneca City Hall Council Chambers.
